Shipping and Processing Charges

Q: How are items shipped?

A: Florida Stained Glass normally ships orders via UPS or the U.S. Post Office ground. For faster delivery most items can be shipped via next day or second day air for an additional charge. For international destinations (anywhere outside the contiguous U.S.), charges will vary be destination, weight and freight carrier. During online order checkout you will be provided with shipping options and shipping charges. A few items, such a large kilns, are delivered by truck. Items requiring truck delivery will be specified in the product's description. Florida Stained Glass receives very competitive freight rates - if you would like an item that is delivered by truck please contact Florida Stained Glass for delivery options and charges.

Q: How much do you charge for shipping?

A: Standard Ground, Next Day, Second Day Air, and 3 Day Select Delivery are available for most items. The charge for this delivery is based on order weight and destination. During the checkout process you will be given these shipping options (if applicable) and the appropriate charges.

Note: Back ordered items will not be charged any additional shipping.

Q: What are boxing charges and when do they apply?

A: Boxing charges are for items that need special handling and require special separate boxing. Boxing charges apply to sheet glass, cames and framing stock only. Please note that glass packs do NOT incur a separate boxing charge. If boxing charges apply to your order, they will be added automatically, so you can review your total shipping and handling charges before you finalize your order. Please note that we cannot mix small or medium glass pieces in a large box. The size differential of the glass pieces creates undue breakage.

Small Box Holds up to 12 Small or Medium pieces of sheet glass     $4.95

Large Box Holds up to 9 Large pieces of sheet glass     $6.95

Oversize Box For orders of 6 foot lengths of zinc, brass and copper channel, lead came and oak framing stock    $6.95

Note: We do not back order any items with a boxing charge.

Q: What if an item is back ordered?

A: Florida Stained Glass's website features real time inventory and will note back ordered items on the product's pages and at the shopping cart. During the checkout process, you have the option to have us ship what's in stock, and then ship the back ordered item separately, OR we can hold your entire order, and ship it all at once when the back ordered item arrives. Florida Stained Glass will back order items temporarily out of stock up to 30 days. We will notify you if your order will be delayed; there will be no additional shipping charges. No back orders are accepted for glass, came or framing stock.
